To see the specific education requirements mandated by each state for Mortgage Loan Originators (MLOs), refer to the official NMLS State-Specific Education Requirements. Many MLO licensing agencies have unique state-specific requirements, covering details such as the required continuing education (CE) hours, CE submission deadlines, and other distinct rules.

This depends on your role and status, but generally includes an 8-hour CE (or 6-hour if 2-hour Ethics course is already completed) plus any required state-specific courses. Review the "Check Courses" section for details.

Course providers may take up to 7 days to report completion to NMLS, so last-minute completion could delay license renewal.
